FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions)
What will my children be doing during the service? We have have a nursery available for infants through age three during the entire worship service. At the half way point of the service, children grades three and younger will be invited to go downstairs for an age appropriate children's church.
Can my children stay with me during the service? If you would rather have your children stay with you during the service, that is fine! We are so excited to see children and families coming to church together. An hour can be a long time for a child to sit through the service, and we understand if he or she is restless or a bit noisy.
What do you all wear to church? A variety! We have a few coats and ties, a few blue jeans and quite a bit in between. Our service style is a bit informal and that shows up in the dress. We believe that the important thing is to worship our God "in spirit and in truth," and are more concerned with the preparation of your heart than of your clothing.
Will I have to do anything special as a visitor? We will not make you stand up and introduce yourself, or put you on the spot in any way. If you are a first time visitor we would love to give you a small gift. If you would like, you can provide us your contact information.
Should I bring any money? We do take an offering during our worship service, but this offering is for our members and regular attendees. If you are a visitor, please let the worship service be our gift to you. You are encouraged not to feel any pressure to give.
How long is the service? Usually between one hour and one-and-a-quarter hours.
What if I have any other questions? Please feel free to send an e-mail to the church. We are a small but growing church and will do our best to help you to feel at home. |
